Kinetic’s Cabletek System was developed to meet the designer’s growing needs of having cleaner more transparent glazing without sacrificing the project’s interior spaces.

The system is formed by prestressed cables which provide rigidity to the façade as they work together with the glass.

The cables of Cabletek’s structural system practically go unnoticed as they follow the unions between glass panels.

The cables can be supplied in stainless steel or galvanized steel. Our Kinetic Technical Support Department can advice on your best alternative based on your project’s environmental and structural conditions.

Used together with Kinetic’s Series 8000 Clamp connectors, there is no need to drill holes on the glass panels, simplifying their manufacturing and installation, and reducing the risk of errors in glass measurements.  

Kinetic’s Cabletek System can also be used with spider fittings providing the structure with the advantages of a spider system. In this case the glass does need perforations.

Both options can be used with monolithic tempered glass, laminated tempered glass, multiple glazing, and insulated systems (double or triple glazing). The system is applied with a separation between glass panels of 10 millimeters up to 13 millimeters, depending on the specific project’s analysis.

Whether for a residential projects or monumental buildings, Kinetic’s Cabletek System can be used in projects of any dimension. However, the building’s construction must be considered as the structural requirements of the support frame can be considerably higher compared to other systems.
